Scraps is a disability-led gaggle of activists, artists and queerdos sharing insights and learnings from the paths rarely taken. We create a place for unfinished ideas, joyous mistake making, creativity, curiosity, and collective imagination.
We found each other through our work in activism circles, campaigning on a variety of issues from the climate crisis and disability justice to workers rights and local community projects.
Our group formed out of a belief that the strength of our communities is what gives us the power to create futures we would want to live in.
We believe that to be human is to be messy and joyful, to be activists is to be passionate and care imperfectly and to be a community is to not only offer support to each other but to create space for rest.
Through SCRAPS we hope to share our learnings and build on our collective skills to be people peopling into an uncertain future.
